1. What Kartzy is

Kartzy gives a business its own online shop: a catalogue, a cart, and a way for customers to place an order. When a customer checks out, their order is sent to the business itself, on WhatsApp — Kartzy does not process payments, hold funds, or take a cut of any sale. Every transaction is a private arrangement directly between the customer and the business. Kartzy is not a party to that sale and isn't responsible for the accuracy of a listing, the quality of a product, whether an order is fulfilled, or how a dispute between a customer and a business gets resolved.

2. Seller accounts

To open a shop you register as a seller and provide accurate information about yourself and your business. New shops are reviewed before they go live. You're responsible for everything published under your account — product listings, prices, photos, and any claims you make about what you sell. You must have the right to sell whatever you list, and your listings must comply with South African law.

3. Fees

New stores receive a 14-day free trial. No payment details are required during the trial. We will notify you by email 3 days before the trial ends, and again on the day it ends, inviting you to add your payment details should you wish to continue. Your subscription then renews monthly on the same day each month. Your current price is shown on your billing page; where a referral discount applies, the discounted price is applied automatically.

Card payments are processed by PayFast; Kartzy does not see or store your card details. You may add, update or remove your payment details, or cancel your subscription, at any time from your billing page.

Suspension. Your store will be suspended if payment details are not added within 3 days of your free trial ending, if a payment remains unsuccessful 7 days after it was due, or, if you cancel, on the date your paid period (or free trial) ends. While suspended, your store is not visible to customers and cannot be managed from your dashboard. Renewing your subscription reinstates your store immediately.

Deletion. If a suspended store's subscription is not renewed within 14 days of suspension, the store and all of its information — including products, orders and settings — is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. You may open a new store afterwards; however, the free trial is available once per email address. Records of payments made are retained for accounting purposes.

Kartzy does not take a percentage of your sales; the only fee is the flat monthly subscription. Payments already made are not refunded for part of a month, except where South African consumer law requires otherwise.

4. Content you provide

You keep ownership of your product photos, descriptions and shop content. By publishing them on Kartzy you give us permission to display and store that content as part of running your shop and the wider marketplace pages. We won't use it for anything else without asking you first.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Kartzy to list anything illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited under South African law, to mislead customers, or to collect personal information for anything other than fulfilling an order. We can suspend or close a shop that breaks these terms, without a refund of any subscription already paid for that period.

6. Unlicensed sellers, counterfeit goods & scams

Kartzy is software, not a retailer, marketplace operator, or trading authority — we don't vet whether a seller holds any licence or authorisation their products might require, whether goods they list are genuine, or whether a seller is who they claim to be. That responsibility sits with the seller alone. Kartzy is not responsible or liable for a seller trading without a required licence or permit, for counterfeit or unauthorised goods listed or sold through a shop, or for any loss a customer suffers because a seller took payment and didn't deliver, or otherwise defrauded them — Kartzy never processes payments or holds funds, so we have no way to reverse a transaction that already happened directly between a customer and a seller.

That said, we don't want scammers on Kartzy either. Where we find, or are shown good reason to believe, that a shop is being used to scam customers, sell counterfeit goods, or trade without a required licence, we will suspend or permanently close that account under section 5 above — on our own initiative, not only on request. Doing so is at our discretion and isn't a guarantee we'll catch every case, and it doesn't undo or compensate for any loss already suffered. If you believe a Kartzy shop has scammed you, report it to us via the contact page and separately pursue it with the South African Police Service or the National Consumer Commission, as you would with any other trader.

7. No warranty, limited liability

Kartzy is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be free of faults or available every second of every day. To the extent the law allows, Web Zooters and Kartzy are not liable for losses arising from a sale between a customer and a seller, from a shop being unavailable, or from content a seller has published.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kartzy grows. If a change is significant, we'll let registered sellers know. Continuing to use Kartzy after an update means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
